The launch ceremony of the fifth "Oxbridge Elite Students China Lecture Circuit” 2024 China-UK Basic Education Cooperation and Exchange Steering Committee will be held in Beijing
On April 7, 2024 (this Sunday), the fifth "Oxbridge Elite Students China Lecture Circuit" to China, co-sponsored by The Association of Education and Technology and Beijing Science and Technology Education Promotion Association and hosted by First Landing Education in the UK, was launched. The ceremony and the 2024 plenary meeting of the China-UK Basic Education Cooperation and Exchange Steering Committee will be held soon at the China Soong Ching Ling Youth Science and Technology Cultural Exchange Center.
The event is divided into four parts: keynote speech, launching ceremony, signing of China-UK Friendship School, and annual key work deployment of the Steering Committee. A number of outstanding students studying in various fields at the University of Cambridge, officials from the British Department of Commerce and Trade, representatives from the China-British Educational Technology Association, nearly 40 principals of primary and secondary schools, and 20 groups of parents will be invited to attend this event.
From 2016 to 2019, the "Oxbridge Elite Students China Lecture Circuit" was held for four consecutive years. The team went to more than 30 cities across the country, covering more than 90 schools and benefiting 13,000 primary and secondary school students. After being tentatively postponed for four years due to the epidemic and other reasons, the "Oxbridge Elite Students China Lecture Circuit to China has officially returned, providing a platform to further deepen educational cooperation between China and the UK and provide students with broader international exchange opportunities. At this event, many Chinese and British primary and secondary school associations established friendly cooperative relations and held signing ceremonies in the presence of on-site counterparts. After the ceremony, the students will be divided into four groups and go to 20 primary and secondary schools in 10 cities in China to interact with Chinese students.
